Dear Members of the Nampa Community in District 6,

I am writing this letter to endorse Margie Potter as a candidate for the Nampa City Council. I have had the privilege of working with Margie, and I can attest to her unwavering dedication to the Nampa community and her outstanding commitment to various causes that are essential to our city’s well-being.

Margie’s dedication to community service is truly exceptional. She has devoted 23 years of her life to serving the Salvation Army, with 7 of those years spent working tirelessly in roles related to development, public relations, and program support for all of the organization’s vital programs. Her dedication and hard work have made a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals and families in our community.

Margie’s commitment to civic engagement is equally impressive. For the past seven years, she has attended nearly every City Council meeting, only missing a handful during unprecedented circumstances. Her consistent presence and active involvement in local governance demonstrate her genuine interest in the issues that matter most to Nampa residents.

Furthermore, Margie has devoted seven years of her time and expertise to the Region 3 Housing Coalition, an organization that plays a crucial role in addressing housing challenges in our community, and to which I also belong. Her efforts as a member of the coalition have contributed to advancing solutions for housing-related issues, making our city a better place for everyone.

In addition to her work with the Region 3 Housing Coalition, Margie has also dedicated seven years to Community School Resources,

demonstrating her commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for our youth.

Margie’s commitment to service extends beyond these organizations, as she has been an active member of the Rotary Club for six years. Her Rotary involvement reflects her dedication to fostering positive change and improving the quality of life for all Nampa residents.

Margie Potter’s passion for issues related to food access, housing, and community development is evident through her extensive record of service. Her wealth of experience and deep-rooted connections within our community make her an ideal candidate for the Nampa City Council. I have no doubt that Margie will continue to work tirelessly to address these critical issues and contribute to the betterment of our city.

I fully endorse Margie Potter for the Nampa City Council and believe that her dedication, experience, and unwavering commitment to our community make her the ideal candidate for this important role. I encourage all residents of Nampa District 6 to support her in her campaign, as I am confident that she will work diligently to represent your interests and lead our city towards a brighter future.

Sincerely,

John Stennett, LMSW
