About Me

I am a fiscally conservative registered Republican that is very active in my community and proud to be a resident of Nampa, Idaho. I have lived in Nampa for 33 years and have owned my home in the now “District 6” for 23 years.

I have been married to my wonderful husband Ken for 17 years and I have 2 grown daughters and their spouses, with 3 perfect grandsons that mean everything to us.

My father is a retired soils engineer that worked for a Boise firm for many years. He is a long time Nampa resident.

My father in-law was a farmer and building contractor right here in Canyon County most of his life, my mother in-law was a nurse at the V.A. hospital in Boise and graduated from Marsing High School, both are retired and live in Caldwell.

We have strong roots here in Idaho!

We are a huge hockey family! My oldest grandson is an Idaho Junior Steelhead and I have served in many roles of the Idaho Steelheads Professional Hockey Booster Club which is a charitable organization that supports the Marines Toys for Tots program and supports youth hockey scholarships.

Presently, I am the chair for the Region 3 Housing Coalition which is comprised of many agencies and non-profits to serve Nampa citizens in all aspects of life to gain and retain housing. I previously worked for The Salvation Army as the Development and PR Director as well as their program support for 7 years. I volunteered with The Salvation Army in Nampa for 23 years and have chaired and sat on some of their committees, such as the Veterans Dinner, Toy and Joy and Back to School programs. I eventually joined the staff of The Salvation Army Nampa in 2017 and in 2021 took a position with The Caldwell Salvation Army which put me in a better position to help all of Canyon County Residents. Before The Salvation Army I owned and operated my own Merchant Services Credit Card business in Nampa for 17 years and before that, worked for Albertsons in management for 10 years.

I am very involved in food access for all, and attainable housing for our current Nampa Residents.

I currently serve on The Healthy Impact Nampa-Food Access Committee and help with the Traveling Table to bring much needed food to citizens in Nampa that are struggling to feed their families.

I was a part of the Nampa 2040 Comprehensive Plan Committee. I worked on the 2020 census committee, IHFA Strike Force chair to create permanent supportive housing in Idaho. I am a member of Mayor Debbie Kling’s Healthy Impact Nampa committee which addresses the pillars of health in Food Access, Health, Transportation, Education, the Family Unit and Housing.

I am a member of the Downtown Nampa Community Association on the Economic Vitality Committee. Which strives to make our downtown a vibrant, friendly and economically successful place.

I have been (and still am) a proud Rotarian for the past 6 years and have been active in the Nampa and Caldwell Chambers of Commerce.

I have attended most Nampa City Council meetings in person since 2017 and I have missed 4 meetings in that time which shows my commitment to our city. I attend many Planning and Zoning meetings as well.

Nampa is a full-service city aside from the new Fire District and I understand the difference in what Federal, State and City can and cannot do, especially where traffic and building are concerned. I am familiar with HB 389 which weighs heavily on the impact of our growth and am ready to buckle down and do what it takes to make Nampa a place that our Vision Statement represents,

A caring community where people live, work, play, worship and raise their families. It is a place of economic opportunity, with an independent spirit and unique identity. I truly believe I can bring a unique and valued perspective to the current council.
